The 48V 5000A Zinc Electrowinning Rectifier supplies up to 240 kW of adjustable DC power for zinc recovery cells and hydrometallurgical production lines. Its high current supports large cathode area, while the voltage capacity can serve connected cell groups and heavy busbar systems.
Power for zinc deposition
In zinc electrowinning, dissolved zinc is deposited at the cathode under controlled current. A stable current setpoint supports a predictable deposition rate and consistent operating conditions. Actual current efficiency and cathode quality also depend on zinc concentration, acidity, trace impurities, temperature, electrolyte circulation, electrode spacing and competing hydrogen evolution.

Confirm current, voltage and cooling together
Current should be calculated from total active cathode area and the plant’s operating current density, or cross-checked from production target and actual efficiency. Voltage must cover the complete loaded cell circuit. Continuous operation at 240 kW also requires cooling-water, busbar, protection and input-power planning.
Plant integration
Current ramps, ampere-hour totals, shift records, cell-voltage monitoring interfaces, alarms and cooling interlocks can be coordinated with the plant control system. Modular or multi-unit arrangements are available when maintenance flexibility is required.
