48V 2000A Industrial Electrolysis Rectifier

The 48V 2000A Industrial Electrolysis Rectifier delivers up to 96 kW of adjustable DC power for electrolytic cell banks, OEM skids and plant expansion. The combination of higher voltage and high current suits installations with substantial electrode area, several series-connected cells or long DC conductor runs.

One rectifier for a defined electrochemical load

Industrial electrolysis covers many processes, from metal recovery and refining to chemical or gas production. The rectifier supplies controlled electrical energy to the electrodes, allowing operators to regulate current, voltage and operating time. Process performance remains dependent on electrolyte, electrode material, temperature, circulation, cell geometry and the reaction being carried out.

In a series cell chain, individual cell voltages add together. In parallel branches, current demand increases with the combined electrode area. The correct design therefore starts with a single-line diagram, normal and maximum loaded voltage, operating current, conductor length and daily duty. This avoids buying excessive voltage while still providing enough headroom for the real load.

Controls for production equipment

Soft start, programmable ramps, timers, ampere-hour recording, remote setpoints, alarm feedback and process interlocks can be included. Multi-unit systems and modular arrangements are available when the line requires higher capacity or maintenance flexibility. Custom ratings from 1–1000V and 1–100,000A are supported for suitable AC-DC applications.
