36V 50A Electrocatalytic Oxidation Rectifier

36V 50A adjustable rectifier for electrocatalytic oxidation reactors, pilot treatment systems and electrochemical wastewater equipment.

The 36V 50A Electrocatalytic Oxidation Rectifier provides 1.8 kW of adjustable DC power for electrochemical wastewater reactors, pilot systems and compact treatment skids. It gives operators a controlled current or voltage source for driving reactions at the electrode surface.

How it works in an oxidation reactor

Electrocatalytic oxidation can use direct anodic reactions or indirectly generated oxidants to break down or transform contaminants. Depending on the water chemistry, electrode material and reactor design, the process may be applied to COD reduction, color removal, ammonia-related treatment or difficult organic pollutants. The power supply establishes the electrical operating point; actual treatment performance also depends on mass transfer, pH, conductivity, chloride content, residence time and downstream treatment.

Choosing current and voltage

Current should be selected from electrode area and the current density established by testing. Voltage must be high enough to maintain that current under the lowest expected conductivity, widest normal electrode spacing and fully loaded condition. A 36V ceiling is useful where the reactor needs more voltage than a compact low-voltage cell, while the output remains adjustable below the maximum.

Options for a treatment skid

Timer control, programmable setpoints, remote start and stop, alarm outputs, PLC interlocks and RS485 communication can be added. Periodic polarity reversal may be configured when the electrode-cleaning strategy requires it, but it is not necessary for every reactor. Custom output from 1–1000V and 1–100,000A is available.
