The 36V 3000A Copper Recovery Rectifier delivers 108 kW of adjustable DC power for copper electrowinning, metal-recovery cells and plant expansion. Its high current supports substantial cathode area, while the 36V range can cover cell groups, busbars and connection losses.
Recovering copper from process solution
Controlled current drives copper ions toward the cathode, where they are deposited as metal. A stable current setpoint helps maintain the intended deposition rate and makes operating conditions easier to repeat. Copper concentration, acidity, impurities, temperature, circulation, electrode spacing and current efficiency still determine recovery performance and cathode form.

Size from cathode area or production target
Current can be calculated from active cathode area and the selected current density. It can also be estimated from target copper production using Faraday’s law, actual current efficiency and operating hours. Voltage must cover the complete loaded circuit; series cells add voltage, while parallel branches increase current.
Controls for continuous recovery
Soft current ramping, ampere-hour totals, shift records, alarm feedback, cooling interlocks and remote operation can be integrated with a recovery skid. For low-concentration final treatment, the operating current may need to change as mass transfer becomes limiting.
