The 15V 1000A Nickel Plating Rectifier provides 15 kW of adjustable DC power for decorative nickel, engineering nickel, undercoats and suitable nickel-alloy processes. It can support moderate-to-large rack area while giving operators the control needed to repeat current settings across production batches.
Electrical control for nickel deposition
Nickel plating may be used for appearance, corrosion resistance, wear performance, dimensional repair or as part of a multilayer coating system. Stable current helps maintain the chosen current density and deposition rate. Brightness, stress, hardness, ductility and thickness uniformity also depend on bath chemistry, additives, temperature, agitation, anodes, rack contacts and part geometry.

Match the rectifier to the nickel bath
Watts nickel, nickel sulfamate, bright nickel, multilayer nickel and engineering nickel can use different operating windows. Current should be selected from maximum active area and the bath supplier’s current density. Voltage must cover the loaded tank, rack contacts, electrode spacing and cable losses. Barrel and continuous processes also require their changing contacts or line speed to be considered.
Production options
Timers, ampere-hour control, current ramps, recipes, alarm outputs and remote setpoints can improve repeatability. PLC or RS485 communication can connect the rectifier to automatic equipment. Pulse or periodic-reversing output is available when the specific nickel process defines the waveform; it is not required for every nickel bath.
