15V 1000A Electropolishing DC Power Supply

15V 1000A electropolishing rectifier. Size from workpiece material, effective area, current density, electrolyte, voltage, cycle time and duty.

The 15V 1000A electropolishing rectifier supplies controlled DC for electrochemical surface removal. In electropolishing, the workpiece is the anode; this polarity and process purpose distinguish it from metal electroplating.

Published Rating

Rated DC output 15 V, 1000 A
Primary application Electropolishing
AC input for quotation Specify 380 V or 415 V AC and local frequency. Final configuration requires project confirmation.
Main regulation mode Constant-current or constant-voltage main mode, selected for the process. Final control configuration requires confirmation.
Cooling and enclosure Selected from duty cycle, ambient temperature, installation environment and available cooling conditions.

Application Fit

Required current is estimated from I = J × A, where A is the effective workpiece area exposed to the electrolyte and J is the process current density for the specific material and bath. The rectifier rating must cover the largest production load without treating one material’s process values as universal.

Working voltage depends on workpiece material, electrolyte, electrode spacing, fixture contact, temperature and busbar losses. The published 15 V output must be checked against the loaded tank. Stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, copper and other materials require different process windows and should be identified before quotation.

Data Required for Selection

  • Provide workpiece material, effective area per load and production loading pattern.
  • Provide electrolyte system, temperature range and ventilation or site constraints.
  • State target current density, operating voltage, cycle time and required material removal.
  • Describe the cathode arrangement, spacing, fixtures and available busbar data.
  • Provide required finish, initial and target roughness, duty and local AC supply.

Configuration Boundary

This page confirms the published DC rating and application only. Cooling method, enclosure grade, control interface, ramp profile, timer, ampere-hour control, pulse operation, polarity reversal, communication protocol and any special ripple limit are optional project items only when confirmed in writing. They are not included by default.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the workpiece connected as the cathode?

No. In conventional electropolishing the workpiece is the anode, because the process removes material from its surface.

Can a 15 V setting be applied to every material?

No. Material, electrolyte, spacing, temperature and current density define the working window.

How is 1000 A checked against production?

Calculate current from effective area and the approved process current density, then check the largest load, contact quality and duty.
