The 12V 2000A sodium hypochlorite generator rectifier supplies low-voltage, high-current DC to an on-site brine electrolyzer. This application produces dilute sodium hypochlorite solution from prepared salt water and must be distinguished from large chlor-alkali plants, sodium chlorate production and seawater electrochlorination.

| Cooling and enclosure | Selected from duty cycle, ambient temperature, installation environment and available cooling conditions. |
Rectifier Selection
The preferred selection route starts with electrolyzer data: unit operating voltage, maximum voltage, unit current, number of cells and series/parallel connection. Series cells add voltage while retaining branch current; parallel branches add current while retaining branch voltage. The electrolyzer supplier’s maximum simultaneous operating point must be used.
If only available-chlorine production is known, system energy data can indicate the approximate power class, but it cannot determine the final DC voltage or current. Final rectifier selection still requires the cell curve and electrical connection.
Information Required for Quotation
- Available-chlorine production, product concentration, daily operating hours and storage strategy.
- Brine concentration, water quality, temperature, flow and conductivity.
- Electrolyzer brand, unit count, connection, operating voltage/current and efficiency curve.
- Electrode area, coating, spacing, scaling and cleaning method.
- Hydrogen dilution, ventilation, detection, discharge and safety interlocks.
Configuration Boundary
This page confirms the published DC rating and application only. Cooling method, enclosure grade, control interface, ramp profile, timer, ampere-hour control, pulse operation, polarity reversal, communication protocol and any special ripple limit are optional project items only when confirmed in writing. They are not included by default.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can 2000 A be calculated from chlorine production alone?
No. Production estimates must include current efficiency, operating hours and the electrolyzer manufacturer’s cell data.
Is this a chlor-alkali rectifier?
No. This page is for on-site dilute sodium hypochlorite generation from prepared brine.
Is automatic polarity reversal included?
Not by default. Reversal timing, dead time, reduced-current steps and valve sequence require written confirmation from the electrolyzer supplier.
