The 24V 800A Stainless Steel Electropolishing Rectifier supplies 19.2 kW of adjustable DC power for surface leveling, deburring and bright finishing of stainless steel components.
How the power supply supports electropolishing
Electropolishing removes a controlled microscopic layer from the workpiece. When the electrolyte, temperature, exposure time and fixturing are suitable, stable current density can help smooth surface peaks, soften fine burrs and produce a cleaner, brighter appearance. The rectifier gives operators repeatable electrical control; the achieved finish still depends on the complete process and the starting condition of the part.
Standard configuration
| DC output | 24V, 800A |
|---|---|
| Rated power | 19.2 kW |
| Regulation modes | Constant current and constant voltage |
| Cooling | Air or water cooling according to cycle and environment |
| Optional controls | Timer, ramp, recipes, remote panel, PLC and RS485 |
| Custom output range | 1–1000V and 1–100,000A |

Selecting an appropriate rating
Estimate current from the largest immersed surface area and the process current-density range. Voltage must overcome the cell and connection losses at full load. Also consider whether production uses one large fixture or several smaller loads, because this affects the preferred adjustment range.
Adapted to the finishing cell
Timed output, controlled ramp-up, ampere-hour recording and recipe storage can improve repeatability between batches. Remote controls, tank interlocks and corrosion-conscious enclosure arrangements can be specified for the installation.
