The 36V 1500A Hard Anodizing Rectifier provides 54 kW of adjustable DC power for hard-coat aluminum anodizing tanks. It combines substantial current capacity with more voltage headroom than a conventional low-voltage anodizing supply.
Following the hard anodizing cycle
Hard anodizing builds a thick engineering oxide layer under cooled, controlled process conditions. As the oxide develops, resistance and loaded voltage can rise. Stable current control and an appropriate voltage ceiling help the line follow the required process profile, supporting repeatable film growth when alloy, bath temperature, agitation, contacts and current density are properly managed.

Is 36V 1500A the right range?
Current is selected from the largest active aluminum area multiplied by the hard-anodizing current density. Voltage must cover the highest value reached during the normal cycle, including rack, cable and busbar losses. If the process regularly approaches the voltage ceiling, a higher-voltage model may provide a more useful control range.
Controls for production consistency
Programmable current or voltage ramps, timers, ampere-hour totals, recipes, alarms and remote operation can be integrated. Cooling supervision and interlocks are especially important because bath temperature and heat removal influence hard-coat processing.
