The 500V 100A PEO Power Supply provides up to 50 kW for plasma electrolytic oxidation research, pilot equipment and specialized production systems.
The 500V 100A PEO Power Supply provides a controlled high-voltage operating window that supports plasma electrolytic oxidation and the formation of hard ceramic-like oxide layers on suitable light-alloy components.
Creating the PEO discharge regime
Plasma electrolytic oxidation uses a much higher electrical field than conventional anodizing to form a ceramic-like surface on suitable light alloys. The power supply must support the transition from initial oxide growth to controlled micro-discharges. Coating development depends on alloy, electrolyte, waveform, current density, cooling and treatment time, so electrical settings are established with the complete process.

Specify more than volts and amps
Provide workpiece material, active area, intended current density, treatment stages and required waveform. For pulse or bipolar operation, include frequency, duty cycle and positive-to-negative settings. These details determine the power-stage and control design.
Process-development controls
Multi-stage programs, waveform adjustment, data recording, remote operation and cooling interlocks can support recipe development and repeatable production. Custom communication interfaces are available for integrated systems.
