The 48V 2500A Hard Anodizing Rectifier delivers 120 kW of adjustable DC power for hard-coat aluminum lines that require high current together with additional voltage headroom.
Power for a rising-resistance process
During hard anodizing, the growing oxide layer increases electrical resistance. A rectifier must continue to regulate the selected current as the loaded voltage rises. Smooth control helps the line follow its current-density target, while adequate voltage capacity reduces the risk of reaching the control ceiling before the cycle is complete. Alloy, bath temperature, agitation, racking and contact quality still determine the final coating result.

Choosing the working range
Estimate current from the maximum active aluminum area and the required current density. Voltage selection should include the expected end-of-cycle value plus losses through cables, busbars, racks and contacts. A 48V configuration is useful when a lower-voltage unit would operate too close to its limit.
Production-ready configuration
Current ramps, multi-stage recipes, ampere-hour totals, alarms and remote start/stop can be configured around the line. Cooling-flow and temperature interlocks can also be integrated for demanding hard-coat production.
