The 14V 600A Zinc Plating Rectifier provides 8.4 kW of adjustable DC power for protective zinc deposition on steel components. It can be configured for rack plating, barrel plating or compact automatic lines where stable current control and repeatable batch settings are important.
Supporting corrosion-protection plating
Zinc electroplating deposits a protective metal layer before passivation or other finishing steps. Controlled current helps maintain the intended current density as rack area or barrel load changes, supporting more consistent thickness and surface appearance. The final coating also depends on the acid or alkaline bath, additives, agitation, temperature, anode condition, contacts and post-treatment.

Rack, barrel and line selection
Rack plating is normally sized from the total exposed area of all parts on the rack. Barrel plating also requires the load weight, barrel construction and changing electrical contact to be considered. Continuous strip plating adds line speed, energized length and segmented anodes. A 600A unit can serve moderate production loads, but the operating current should come from the bath supplier’s current-density window and the maximum regular load.
Useful production features
Timer and ampere-hour control can improve batch repeatability. Remote setpoints, recipes, alarms and PLC or RS485 communication can connect the rectifier to an automatic line. Pulse or polarity-reversing output is available only where the zinc bath or zinc-alloy process specifically uses it.
Provide the zinc bath type, rack or barrel method, maximum active area or load, current density, loaded voltage, target thickness, cycle time and control requirements. Explore zinc and electroplating rectifiers, browse industrial DC power supplies, or request a 14V 600A quotation.
