12V 1000A/1500A Water-Cooled Anodizing Rectifier

Water-cooled 12V anodizing rectifier in separate 1000A and 1500A versions, with remote control and customizable DC output for industrial lines.

This water-cooled 12 V DC rectifier is available in two separate rated-current versions: 1000 A and 1500 A. It is designed for anodizing and related electroplating lines that need stable high-current DC output, a compact horizontal enclosure and convenient parameter adjustment away from the main unit.

The two current ratings are different configurations, not switchable ratings on one machine. Choose the required version from the maximum effective processing area, process current density and actual loaded tank voltage.

Built for High-Current Anodizing Lines

  • Two practical current levels: 1000 A and 1500 A versions cover different bath sizes and production loads without presenting them as one interchangeable rating.
  • Water-cooled construction: suitable for installations where compact size and controlled heat removal are important.
  • Remote operation: operators can view and adjust output parameters from a separate controller positioned near the working area.
  • High-current output connection: copper output terminals support the low-voltage, high-current connection to the busbar system.

How to Select 1000 A or 1500 A

1. Calculate the maximum effective processing area

Use the largest expected batch or rack, not only the normal daily load. Include all surfaces that will carry process current according to your anodizing method.

2. Apply the required current density

Obtain the working current-density range from your process specification or chemical supplier. Multiplying effective area by current density gives the required operating current. Allow a reasonable margin for normal production variation, but avoid selecting a much larger rating without a process reason.

3. Confirm the loaded tank voltage

Measure or estimate voltage while the tank is operating at the intended current. Include voltage loss through busbars, cables, contacts and fixtures. A 12 V rectifier is suitable only when the complete process circuit stays within this output range. Some anodizing processes or tank conditions can require a higher voltage.

As a simple guide, select the 1000 A version when the calculated maximum current remains comfortably below 1000 A. Select the 1500 A version when the expected operating current exceeds that range or when the larger production load is confirmed by the process calculation.

Control and Customization

The standard project arrangement includes remote parameter display and setting. Constant-current or constant-voltage regulation can be configured as the main operating mode to match the process requirement.

Custom DC output is available across a broad manufacturing range of 1–100,000 A and 1–1,000 V. The requested current and voltage are configured together with output power, site AC input, cooling, controller and enclosure. RS485 or Modbus communication, timing, ramp control and ampere-hour functions are available when specified for the project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one unit change between 1000 A and 1500 A?

No. They are separate rated-current versions. The selected unit can regulate its output within its working range, but the rated capacity is chosen before manufacture.

Is 12 V suitable for every anodizing process?

No. Suitability depends on the process, bath condition, load and total circuit voltage loss. Confirm the maximum loaded tank voltage before ordering. We can propose a different output-voltage configuration when 12 V is insufficient.

Is RS485 included?

Remote parameter display and setting are included in this configuration. RS485 or Modbus communication is available on request; please provide the required protocol, signals and control objectives so the interface can be matched to your system.
